Background: The National Honor Society for Dance Arts debuted in Spring 2025. The Student Choreography Showcase was the first event the organization hosted and is planned to be a recruiting event.

Portrait/Feature/Profile: Cassell Guard Hosts Student Tailgate for the WNIT

Assignment Details: Shoot photojournalistic portraits of either 1) a newsworthy person or 2) a person in a newsworthy situation. This can certainly have a “feature” quality to it.

Background: James Hughes, a member of the Cassell Guard, holds a student-only tailgate in honor of Virginia Tech Women's Basketball hosting the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) for the first time in history.
